A primary benefit of the MDR is its ability to read dual frequencies (125KHz & 13,56MHz) allowing a site to migrate to new tag technologies without replacing existing Tags already on the system.

Using Wiegand Protocol, the Reader can now be installed up to 150 meters from the Door Controller giving you flexibility and ease of installation. Impro has addressed the potential risk of communication attacks on Wiegand lines by adding AES 128 bit encryption on its communication between the Reader and the Controller.

The Wiegand 44bit output also allows compatibility with 3^rd party systems. With the zero downtime upgrade feature, any potential upgrades can be carried out ‘in-field’ whilst never losing functionality.

The MDR has also been structurally designed to stand up to the demands of harsh commercial and industrial environments with its compact profile and durable stainless steel cover, and is suited to indoor and outdoor applications, as well as benefiting any site with its sleek aesthetic appeal.
